Neunkirchen celebrates the coat Sunday with moonlight market and fire show!
On Sunday, October 27, 2024, the city center of Neunkirchen is transformed into a colorful marketplace on the "open mantle Sunday". Around 130 shops open their doors between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. This unofficial holiday, known from many German cities, invites people to buy new coats for winter - a custom that is particularly popular in front of All Saints' Day.
At the same time, the 7th Neunkircher moonlight market is celebrated, the official opening of which begins at 5:00 p.m. with a small tavern. As early as 3 p.m., numerous stands are available that eat, drink and offer handicrafts until 10 p.m. Visitors can look forward to an exciting supporting program that may be heralded by Mayor Lisa Hensler. The highlights are the appearances of the players of "Spectaculatius" and juggler Timelino. The evening is musically accompanied by "Mep-Live", which play classics from rock, pop, country and blues. The crowning glory is a spectacular fire show at 9:30 p.m., which dives the silent place in fascinating light. Admission to the moonlight market is free. Further information can be found www.sol.de .
