Neunkirchen mourns: Entrepreneurial legend Wolfgang Haider-Berky died

The city of Neunkirchen is in grief: Wolfgang Haider-Berky, a respected historian and entrepreneur, died at the age of 74. His family and the city lose a valuable honorary ring bearer who not only had a deep historical knowledge of Neunkirchen, but also led his traditional jewelry shop in the city center to the end. Haider-Berky had suffered from health problems in recent years and had to be treated in the hospital.

The news of his death shakes the community. City archivist Benedikt Wallner is dismayed by the loss of his companion and emphasizes Haider-Berky's significant contribution to the city museum. ÖVP city chief Herbert Osterbauer also expresses his sympathy and emphasizes how very Neunkirchen will miss this "efficient entrepreneur and great knowledge master". Haider-Berky leaves his wife Ilse, with whom he recently celebrated the golden wedding, and three daughters who are now in mourning for their father. Details on the funeral service and further information about his life performance are currently being planned, such as www.noen.at reported.
