Federal police stops illegal puppy transport: saved four dogs!

Waidhaus, Deutschland - federal police officers have stopped an illegal puppy transport on the A6 near Waidhaus. In a van they found four dogs, two French bulldogs and two small spitz puppies that were between six and eight weeks old, far too young for a trip. The officials immediately doubted the legality of the transport and informed the veterinary office in Neustadt an der Waldnaab. During the review, it turned out that the puppies were neither vaccinated nor had enough water for the trip. The Romanian driver wanted to bring the animals to interested parties to Germany, but instead they ended up in quarantine.

The puppies are now under veterinary supervision and are waiting for the necessary rabies vaccinations. Both the driver and the buyers have to be prepared for fine procedures. The investigation has not yet been completed, and it remains open which further consequences will result from this incident. Report on www.merkur.de .
