A moving life: Mathilde Thanner celebrates the 85th birthday with a visit to the mayor

Nabburg Mayor honors Mathilde Thanner for the 85th birthday

On Thursday, July 11th, Mathilde Thanner was 85 years old in Nabburg. This special day was celebrated in the BRK senior home "Arche Noah", where she was not only congratulated by her daughter Irene Zeitler and grandson Daniel Zeitler, but also received a visit from Mayor Frank Zeitler.

Mathilde Thanner was born in Trisching (Schmidgaden municipality). After her school days, she worked as a production power in Buchtal. With her wedding, she started a family that was soon expanded by three daughters. After the death of her husband in 2006, she found fulfillment in her work at "Leistico" in Trisching and devoted herself to her hobbies such as gardening and club work at the fruit and horticultural association.

Although she now has to accept restrictions, Mathilde Thanner takes part in all activities in the retirement home and praises the nursing staff for her care. She tells of her passion for knitting and regrets that her hands no longer allow it. Car driving, which she followed for 40 years, also belongs to the past, which she mentions with melancholy.

The Mayor Frank Zeitler and the local newspaper "The New Tag" wish Mathilde Thanner all the best and thus appreciate her 85 years full of life, work and commitment to her family and the community.
