New town house of the ADAC brings a breath of fresh air in Weidens Allee

In the city of Weiden, a new residential project will soon enhance the avenue and at the same time represent an important step for the local community.

Change of avenue in Weiden

The avenue between the Josefskirche and Herrmannstrasse in Weiden is currently rather dreary. An abandoned cinema and cloudy facades shape the image, while a roadway blocked on one side additionally contaminates the neighborhood. But the "town house" of the ADAC Nordbayern will soon bring a fresh air.

The new "Stadthaus"

planned by the architecture firm Stefan Kunnert, the four -story building will not only offer living space, but will also integrate modern gastronomy on the ground floor. The project was created after the former ADAC office was demolished in spring 2022 and is now almost completed. The completion comes almost on time, since the tenant's move -in originally was already scheduled for spring.

residential units and rental prices

A total of nine apartments have been created, including one of the highlights, a penthouse with 140 square meters. Depending on the equipment, rental prices are between 13.50 and 14 euros per square meter, which is competitive for the Weiden region. Four of the nine apartments have already been rented out, with the penthouse being particularly in demand. This development could increase the attractiveness of the avenue and move more people into the region.

Simracing center as an attraction

Another highlight of the “town house” will be the Simracing center planned on the ground floor, which opens on August 16. This facility enables visitors to experience virtual car races and enjoy snacks and drinks. Simracing is a digital form of racing and could create an interesting contact point for local and regional sports enthusiasts in Weiden through the combination of gastronomy and technological entertainment.

construction progress and street work

Many residents wonder when the construction work in the avenue will be completed. According to the architect Kunnert, the sidewalks and the roadway should be redesigned by the end of August, which significantly improves the accessibility in the area. These changes are not only important for the residents of the "town house", but also contribute to the general attractiveness of the avenue and thus to the quality of life in Weiden.

ADAC Nordbayern: An important player

The ADAC Nordbayern, based in Nuremberg and over 1.2 million members, plays an important role in the region. The association runs several branches and travel agencies and is committed to the safety of drivers in northern Bavaria.

Overall, the new project shows how the ADAC not only recognizes the automotive background, but also makes a positive contribution to the development of the city of Weiden. The influence of the “town house” will be very noticeable in the coming months, both for the new tenants and for the entire community.
