CSU parliamentary group change in the district committee: Surprising exchange from Edgar Knobloch and Tanja Renner
New leadership in the CSU district parliamentary group of Neustadt/WN
On Tuesday, a surprising decision in the district committee of Neustadt/WN caused a sensation. The long -time parliamentary group leader of the CSU, Edgar Knobloch, releases his office and exchanges all the committee items with Tanja Renner. This change affects a total of five different bodies of the district council.
This step marks a turning point in the district policy, since Knobloch clears its headquarters in the crucial district committee to make room for a hit. The district committee significantly influences the district policy and its recommendations are usually accepted by the district council. Knobloch was not present at the session, but confirmed that he also gives the parliamentary group chair. An official successor will be announced in the next district meeting on July 23.
The step of Knobloch, who turns 60 in August, is justified with his workload and the need for relief. Nevertheless, he emphasizes that he is doing well in terms of health. His many years of experience as the mayor of Grafenwöhr and chairman of the ILE in the four-city triangle made him an important player in the region.
The decision to use a hit as his successor testifies to a rejuvenation and female strengthening of the CSU parliamentary group. With a hit as the first female group leader, new perspectives for the party in the district council of Neustadt/WN open up. Renner, a secondary school teacher and second mayor of Schlammersdorf, will play an important role in the future political development of the region.
The decision for Renner as the new parliamentary group leader also signals a swivel in the political orientation of the CSU in the district. It remains to be seen how the dynamic change at the top of the parliamentary group will affect politics in Neustadt/WN in the long term.
