New Game Store Glitchless: A meeting point for gaming fun in Mainz

The opening of a new game store in the Mainz Neustadt not only promises an exciting contact point for gaming prospective, but could also strengthen the community in the area. The retro gaming shop "Glitchless", led by David Otto, will open its gates next Thursday (August 1st) and at the same time integrate a DHL packaging shop.

a new contact point for all age groups

The "Glitchless" should become a place where people can come together. David Otto, who has launched the project, has been a passionate gamer since childhood and wants to create a place with his store where playing is in the foreground. "It is about playing together and exchanging ideas," explains Otto. A cozy lounge corner was set up for the sociable get-together.

diverse gaming experiences

On the shelves of the new store, visitors can expect a wide selection of video game consoles. Otto plans not only to sell or buy the devices, but also offers repairs so that fans can also get their older devices going again. These include popular consoles such as PlayStation and Super Nintendo, but also rare pieces such as the Atari Jaguar, the value of which is currently at least 800 euros

events and community activities

The vision behind "Glitchless" extends far beyond the sale of games. Regular events are planned to bring the community together. The newly founded Trading Card Association from Wiesbaden has already expressed interest in using the store for games and exchanges. In addition, video game tournaments should take place every two weeks, and even a Tetris association has registered for a tournament. The planned reading on the subject of game design, which is supposed to give the store an additional cultural framework, is also particularly exciting

preparation for the opening

The final preparations for the opening are currently taking place. Otto has received great interest and many positive feedback on the opening, especially from residents from the Zollhafen area. "Even older people already ask about devices from their youth, such as the Commodore 64," says Otto. To offer Otto, snacks and chilled drinks for the approaching opening to make the visit even more inviting.

a brave step into self -employment

After two decades in the IT industry, David Otto dares to take the step into self-employment that is associated with risks. "This is certainly a violent step that can also go into the pants," he admits. Nevertheless, he is optimistic that his concept will be successful and that he succeeds in making "Glitchless" a popular meeting place for the gaming community in Mainz.

The DHL shop will open on August 15, while "Glitchless" could soon attract numerous visitors who want to rediscover the world of video games or remember old classics.
