Neustadt plans magnificent tulip tree: a green eye -catcher for everyone!
In Halle-Neustadt, a Kobushi-Magnolia was recently planted, which is considered the future eye-catcher. This initiative of the Stadtwerke takes place in front of the socio -cultural center Passage 13. Stadtwerke managing director René Walther emphasized that planting is part of a city-wide climate protection program. So far, 41 new trees have been set as part of this program, and not as a replacement for felled trees, but as additional plants for various construction measures, as project manager Peter Kolbert explained.
Andreas Schachtschneider, chairman of the Neustadt-Verein, was optimistic about the new tree and expects that he will be a popular photo motif in full bloom. In addition, the magnolia placed behind a bank will help donate shadows, which is of great importance in Neustadt. With this measure, the initiators hope not only to achieve pretty flowers, but also positive environmental impacts, as www.mz.de reports .
