Dramatic turn in the process for the largest drug laboratory in Rhineland-Palatinate! The three defendants who are accused of having operated a huge amphetamine laboratory in Neuwied have made revision. According to the police, this is the largest laboratory for the production of synthetic drugs that has ever been discovered in the Region. The police had excavated the laboratory in a warehouse in October 2022. During the raid, over 500 chemical containers were discovered from which 500 kilograms of amphetamine paste could be made - a drug value of several million euros on the black market!

The judgments against the accused are also frightening: the main accused received almost seven years in prison, a suspected complicity six years. Only the third defendant got away with a suspended sentence of one year after he was guilty of the aid. This not only represents a clear bottle neck in drug trafficking, but also throws a shadow on the security situation in the region.
