On October 9, 2024, several traffic accidents occurred in the Uplengen region, which resulted in injured and high damage to property. First there was a rear -end collision at 10:20 a.m. on Wiesmoorer Straße. A 54-year-old driver wanted to turn left into a property access, stopped due to oncoming traffic. A 52-year-old woman who drove behind him stopped in time. However, the 55-year-old driver from Wiesmoor noticed the situation too late and drove onto the woman's vehicle, which in turn was pushed onto the waiting car. The 54-year-old and the 52-year-old suffered minor injuries during the collision, while the 55-year-old was unharmed. The property damage amounts to a lower five -digit amount.

Another accident occurred in the afternoon at 5:30 p.m. on Neudorfer Strasse. A 63-year-old man from Aurich crossed Wiesmoorer Strasse, who was entitled to the right of way and collided with the vehicle of a 25-year-old who comes from Bavaria. Its car was thrown onto the green strip and the young man suffered minor injuries. The 63-year-old was not injured, but his 21-year-old passenger also suffered minor injuries. The police, fire brigade and emergency services were quickly on site to take care of the injured and to remove the vehicles that are no longer ready to drive.
