A 28-year-old woman from Hanover was legally convicted of insulting Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock. The decision was announced on Wednesday after the woman withdrew her appointment against the judgment. The severity of the insult was illustrated by an Instagram post by the woman in which she drew Baerbock as a "terrorist Bärbock".
The Hanover District Court imposed a fine of 600 euros, divided into 40 daily rates of 15 euros each. Annalena Baerbock submitted a criminal complaint after the post office. The incident occurred in October 2023 when the woman published a video on her Instagram channel, which was perceived in various ways.
