Medical emergency leads to bizarre car ride in Bockenem!

A 72-year-old driver from Bockenmem came to a medical emergency this Tuesday, while he was on the B 243 towards Bockenem. Around 11:20 a.m. he lost control of his Mercedes, ran over two traffic islands and drove through a green area before collapsing into a small forest.

There the vehicle raced about 40 meters until it crashed into a park bench and a trash can and finally came to a stop on a tree. Fortunately, the driver was unharmed, but had to be taken to a hospital for an examination. The damage to the vehicle is estimated at around 10,000 euros, while the total damage to the damaged traffic signs, the roadway and other objects could not yet be quantified. Fortunately, there were no other injuries despite the chaotic accident.
