In a tragic traffic accident on Landesstraße 548 between Dassel and Relliehausen in the district of Northeim, a 68-year-old motorcyclist from Hanover was killed. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when a driver tried to overtake three vehicles and overlooked the oncoming motorcycle. The collision between the motorcycle and the overtaking car was so violent that the motorcycle was thrown against a small skate of a 17-year-old. The 53-year-old driver and the 17-year-old both suffered minor injuries. Around 40 emergency services from the Northeim district fire brigade were deployed at the scene of the accident.
