Horst-Janssen-Museum, Am Stadtmuseum 4, 26121 Oldenburg, Deutschland - On April 1, 2025, the special exhibition "Horst Janssen tables tablets" in the Horst-Janssen Museum in Oldenburg. This exhibition pursues the topic of culinary delays in the works of the North German artist Horst Janssen and is to be visited until June 9, 2025. Admission is free and the opening times of the exhibition are from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The show offers a unique insight into Janssen's world, in which everyday objects such as food and kitchen utensils are in focus. It is shown how the artist breaks with the conventions of still life by changing proportions and represents food in the process of spoiling. The design of the exhibition is based on the daily life of Horst Janssen and includes subsequent stations: drinking a first coffee in the bathrobe, enjoying apple pfannkuchen for lunch and sociable wine evenings in his favorite Italian.

With biographical objects and photographs from Janssen's everyday life, the exhibition also gives a private insight into the life of the artist, including his bathrobe or a shaving mirror.

The exhibition was curated by Alexandra Hoffmann, a scientific volunteer, and Antje Tietken, co-curator.
