KfW funding in Osterholz: CDU and Greens in the dispute over figures!
Osterholz, Deutschland - In 2022, the Kreditanstalt für recovery (KfW) provided funding of 52.8 million euros in the Osterholz district. These figures were controversial by the political parties on site. While Christina-Jahanne Schröder from the Greens praises the funding as "very good news" for the region, Andreas Mattfeldt from the CDU is concerned about the decline in grant and credit recipients from the business sector.
Total KfW funding in the district rose by 1.9 million euros. The KfW Mittelstandsbank made 12.2 million euros available for founding and company investments as well as operational energy efficiency and renewable energies. For 2023, this grant was already 20.7 million euros. Mattfeldt criticizes Minister of Economics Robert Habeck (Greens) and compares the decline in KfW economic funding in the district with the nationwide trend. In addition, only 2.5 percent of the KfW funds flowed into municipal and social infrastructure.

In addition to the KfW, the financing by local communities, the city and the district is emphasized. The aim of this guideline is to support investments with minimal bureaucratic effort.
