New beginning for the entire church community Peine: Talents for the future!

Walzwerk 13, 31224 Peine, Deutschland - The entire parish of Peine was founded from several Protestant communities at the beginning of the year, including Frieden, Martin Luther, St. Jakobi, St. Johannis Telgte, St. Petrus Stederdorf, Wendesse, Vöhrum, Eixe and Röhrse. In the course of this merger, which was carried out on January 01, 2025, the need for an organizational talent for administrative work was recognized, which led to the hiring of Ann-Sophie Saar. The 24-year-old describes himself as in a triple new start: New city, new overall church community and the first job after her training.

In the first few weeks of her work, Saar has been in charge, took part in committees and attended the church office in Hildesheim. Your office is located in the rooms next to the Luther chapel at the rolling mill 13 in Peiner Südstadt. There are currently no fixed office hours for visitors, but Saar has already done a lot of work. Before that, she gained experience in public relations, organization of events and in committee work, and she has developed ideas to include the community members in the future work of the entire church. Despite the changes, the existing parish secretariats remain as a contact point for the community members. In addition, there is an overall board for the municipality, in which members from all previous individual communities are represented.

The main goal of the merger is to deal with current and future challenges, in particular the decline in resources. Information on the merger has already been treated in earlier community letters and are still provided. From the next issue, a common municipal letter will be published for the entire city to promote transparency and exchange among the parishioners.

To celebrate the foundation of the entire church community, the St. Jakobi Peine Church invites you to a service on January 19 at 11 a.m., which is celebrated with a subsequent reception.
