End of an era: Bakery in Mücke closes after over 50 years!
Salzgitter, Deutschland - The Mücke bakery in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt will close its doors at the end of January 2025. This marks the end of a number of more than five decades in which the bakery was an integral part of the neighborhood and culinary culture in Salzgitter. The operators, Erhard Mücke (68 years) and his wife Irmtraut (65 years), retire and thank their loyal customers for the years of support.
The last day of sale of the traditional bakery is January 31, 2025, such as t-online.de reported. Jens Mücke-Busch, the operator's son, explains that the decision to close it was not easy. The Mücke family looks back on a five generations of tradition in the bakery, with the Silesian roots of the owner in the specialties offered, such as poppy seedtzel and crumble cake.
