Future Day 2024: Insight into the administration

As early as 2024, the district of Schaumburg opened its doors for students after a corona -related forced break. 33 students between the ages of 12 and 14 took part that day. Nadine Nelle, the equal opportunities officer, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of the future to give insights into classic women's and men's professions. Furthermore, district councilor Andrea Stüdemann explained the tasks of the district and the work of the MPs.

The personnel office presented the various training occupations of the district, while three trainees reported on their experience in their specific areas. The students were divided into different offices to get to know their tasks. The subject areas included the veterinary office and the offices for youth, social affairs, schools, sport and culture.

Some participants spent their day in the forestry office or in the nursery in the district. The future day ended at 3:30 p.m. with the issue of participation certificates and a lunch break in which lasagna and milk rice were served.
