On Thursday, April 24, 2025, a solemn naturalization ceremony took place in the large meeting room of the Wolfenbüttel district administration. At this event, 23 women, men and a child received their German citizenship. The naturalization certificates were presented by the deputy district administrator Uwe Schäfer, member of the district council and employees of the district.

The celebration is already the 36th of its kind and was well attended. Friends, spouses and relatives of the new citizens filled the meeting room. In his speech, Schäfer emphasized the appreciation for the naturalized people and emphasized that many of them have been living in the district for many years, some were even born there. He addressed German citizenship as a commitment to home in the Wolfenbüttel district and spoke about the importance of home as a feeling of security.
