Citizens' Protest in Tümlauer Koog: Dich amplifier urgently demanded!

On Friday, 38 committed citizens from Tümlauer Koog came with bright yellow jackets for the dike show of the state company for coastal protection in order to express their displeasure loudly about the outstanding increase in the dean. For 26 years they have been calling for the five-kilometer dike line between Westerhever and St. Peter-Ording. Mayor Christain Marwig warned: "If a storm comes over days, we have no chance."

A spokesman for the state company made it clear that there was a lack of dike construction engineers in order to implement the urgently needed reinforcements more quickly. Due to other primary construction projects, the Tümlauer Koog project is not at the top of the to-do list. Accordingly, it will take a few more years before the dike reinforcement can be tackled.
