Every child in Karlum receives 300 euros - money blessing for the future!
The municipality of Karlum in North Friesland provided surprising financial support in 2021. Each child under the age of 18 received a one -time grant of 300 euros. This generous measure is the result of an inheritance by Hinrich Frerich, a deceased inhabitant of the 200-inhabitant village. According to Focus had stipulated Frerichs in his will that his assets should benefit the community.
The legacy comprises a total of 1.2 million euros, including four apartments and participations in various companies. According to Mayor Werner Richardsen (non -partisan), this genome generates annual income of around 30,000 euros. By the end of 2024, 34 children and adolescents have already received the 300 euros, such as the Image reported.
continuation of the support projects
The founded foundation, which consists of the mayor, the estate administrator and three other villagers, has already actively participated in various non -profit projects. These include support for a hospital, a hospice and the citizens' bus, children and seniors. Future projects could include senior breakfast, summer trips and the upgrading of a walk.
Another aspect of the Initiative is that citizens can submit the costs of swimming courses in their children. The discussion within the municipality as to whether the one -time support of 300 euros for children should be repeated annually shows the interest in continuing this help in the village.
