Inclusion in the focus: Main College Aachen starts the new day of action
Hauptzollamt Aachen, 52062 Aachen, Deutschland - On October 10, the nationwide "Shift change" campaign day took place, where people with and without disabilities swap the jobs for a day. The aim of the initiative is to reduce clichés and create new perspectives. The main customs office in Aachen also took part in this important event for the first time. Dr. Bernadette Bader, the head of the main customs office, exchanged her job with employees of Lebenshilfe Aachen.
"Participation in the action day shows how important people with impairment are for the world of work," emphasized Dr. Bader. Customs pursues the goal of promoting inclusion and actively supports the employment of people with disabilities. With an employment rate of around 8 percent, customs lies above the legal requirements and is continuously looking for motivated applicants who want to work in a diverse work environment. Customs administration also offers suitable jobs with career opportunities for people with handicap.
