Serious traffic accident: car tips over - accident victims saved!

On Saturday afternoon, October 5, 2024, a serious traffic accident occurred at 12:30 p.m. at the Kamener Straße / Röhrberg / Fröndenberger Straße intersection. A 25-year-old from Fröndenberger drove his car on Fröndenberger Straße when he collided with the vehicle of a 19-year-old Bönener, who was on Kamener Strasse towards Kamen. The car of the Fröndenberger landed on the left and the two occupants could not get out independently at first.

brave first aiders rushed to help and freed them from the vehicle until the emergency services and the fire brigade arrived. Fortunately, everyone involved-the two inmates and the 19-year-old driver-only suffered minor injuries and, after the first care, were brought to nearby hospitals with ambulances. An incurred rescue helicopter did not have to be used. After the accident, which caused a total damage of around 30,000 euros, both vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed. The fire brigade took care of leakage materials, while the intersection remained closed until around 2:50 p.m.
