Shocking traffic accident on Berliner Platz: 8 injured!

On the evening of 9:15 p.m., the Bottrop fire department was alerted after several emergency calls received a traffic accident on Berliner Platz. Two cars were collided - there was a family of five with a toddler in one vehicle, while three adults were sitting in the other car. Fortunately, all occupants had already left their cars when the rescue workers arrived.

The injured were medical care on site and then transported to surrounding hospitals. A seriously injured person required transport to a Essen hospital with maximum care, accompanied by an emergency doctor. A total of 35 emergency services from the Bottrop fire brigade and two emergency doctors were deployed, supported by rescue teams from Gladbeck and Oberhausen. During the operational measures, the Altstadt volunteer fire brigade took over the basic protection for the urban area.
