Terrible traffic accident on A2: Salvated person saved!

On Sunday morning there was a serious traffic accident on the A2 motorway in the direction of Oberhausen. Around 10:30 a.m., a car collided with a parked construction machine for an unknown cause, which was trapped in the vehicle. The fire brigade secured the scene of the accident and ensured fire protection.

The rescue workers had to use hydraulic rescue equipment to exemption the trapped driver, while the second person involved in the accident could be saved without technical aids. A patient was transported to a maximum care hospital due to the injuries, the second to a Bottrop hospital. During the mission, the highway towards Oberhausen remained completely closed.
