A 43-year-old driver from Senden is suspected of having been at the wheel under the influence of cannabis. In the night from Friday to Saturday, the man was stopped by the police during a traffic control on Steverstrasse. Already when the vehicle was opened, the officials struck a strong cannabis smell.

The driver showed typical abnormalities and refused any statement about the allegations. A blood sample was then taken from him, and he was prohibited from continuing. As a result of the incident, he must expect an administrative offense. The police emphasize that despite the legal use of cannabis, driving under drug influence remains strictly prohibited.
