In the night from Wednesday to Thursday, between 11 p.m. and midnight, strangers tried to break into a restaurant on the Stiftsweg in Mechernich. The perpetrators inserted a lever tool to violently open the back door.

The police immediately started the investigation into the particularly severe theft and is looking for information from the population. Anyone who has seen something or has information about the perpetrators is asked to report.
