Alcohol, drugs and cell phones: Police increase controls in Bad Salzuflen

On Thursday, October 10, 2024, the Lippe police in Bad Salzuflen-Lockhausen carried out a special operation to take action against alcohol and drug abuse and the distraction through mobile phone use in road traffic. The mission aims to combat the main causes of serious traffic accidents.

The balance of the day: A driver was tested positively for drugs and had to undergo a blood test. Four other road users had to expect administrative offenses due to cell phone violations, while ten more were occupied by warning money, among other things because of the non -carrying seat belt. The police officers also had preventive discussions with the drivers to point out the dangers of these behavior. The police are planning to carry out unannounced controls in the future to further increase traffic safety.
