Explosion alarm at the high school: Eleven-year-old author caught!

On Tuesday afternoon, around 3:30 p.m., a threatening note at the Erasmus-von-Rotterdam-Gymnasium caused excitement. An explosion on a neighboring playground for the same day was announced on paper. The police reacted quickly and evacuated the barely occupied school rooms. Emergency services blocked the playground while the situation had to be clarified quickly.

First investigations led the officials to an eleven -year -old suspect who was picked up just a few meters away. The boy confessed to his participation and named another. To be on the safe side, the area was thoroughly checked, but fortunately no explosives were found. The area was temporarily closed, while the police continued to take control of the situation.
