Sustainable energy use in Nuremberg: Solar participation for apartment buildings
In the course of the progressive energy transition, photovoltaic systems (PV systems) are increasingly in the public interest, especially in urban apartments. The city of Nuremberg has decided to facilitate access to this sustainable form of energy through free advice to the citizens. This particularly affects apartment buildings that can benefit from tenant electricity and self-sufficiency models.
opportunities through the common use of solar energy
The use of solar power directly from the roof enables residents to reduce their electricity price and at the same time make a contribution to climate protection. This type of electricity usage can be designed by different models. For example, apartment owner communities (WEGS) can achieve economic advantages through tenant current and self-sufficiency models that strengthen both the individual household and the community.
Free on-site advice for interested paths
As part of a new program, the city of Nuremberg offers five free PV checks that include professional on-site advice from a solar expert from the German Society for Solar Energy (DGS). Only apartment owner communities in the Nuremberg urban area can take part in this initiative. Interested parties can easily send their request by email toprofessional support in project planning
The initial consultations are carried out according to the principle "Whoever comes first" first, which means that the first interested parties are treated primarily. During this advice, the potential of the roof is evaluated for installing a PV system. If the building has a flat roof, a physical inspection can also be necessary.
- recording the roof potential
- Review of possible operator models and measurement
- simulation of profitability scenarios
It is particularly important to participate several WEG members and the property management during the consultation date. Up to this point, the advisory costs for the WEG are completely free of charge.
