a piece of history with exciting past
But how did this change come about? The villa was built between 1913 and 1914 by the entrepreneur Angelo Hirsch, who was moving to New York with his family in 1919. During the dark years of the National Socialists, the impressive building was in their possession and served after the Second World War of the US espionage defense. It was not until the end of the 1950s that the Federal Intelligence Service took over the villa, which was a well-kept secret of the Nuremberg for decades.
But the shine of the old days faded: the building has been empty since 2013 and was waiting for a new purpose. And it seems to be found now! The sale to Aventin Real Estate last year marks the turning point for Villa at Wielandstrasse 27.
