In Engelskirchen, the CDU chose its candidate for mayor! Lukas Miebach, 36, unanimously received the trust of the members. In his introductory speech, he emphasized that his focus was on reason and with each other. The new candidate is determined to promote non -partisan cooperation and a transparent, civil -friendly policy so that young and old can feel comfortable in Engelskirchen.

The meeting also chose delegates for district and Bundestag candidatures and spoke for Klaus Grootens and Dr. Carsten Brodesser. Peter Biesenbach, former CDU minister, gave an impressive guest lecture on "politics in troubled times".
