Childhood memories: The heroes of the GDR children's room in the museum!

In the Museum Schloss und Fortress Senftenberg, from October 31, 2024 to March 2, 2025, an exciting exhibition will be presented that illuminates the everyday world of children in the GDR. Under the motto "Mutti clears up - the children's room in the GDR" can experience the nostalgic memories of mole, sandmann and pittiplatsch. The exhibition shows how children's rooms were designed in the 1960s to 80s and which toys and furniture conquered the hearts of the little residents.

Railway slabs to doll houses to merchant shops - the exhibits give a fascinating insight into the childhood of that time. The organizers, the Museum of the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district, invite everyone interested to discover the diversity and the special features of the children's rooms in the GDR.
