Bikes worth 7,000 euros stolen in Plößberg - two found again!

in the picturesque Plößberg, a calm community in the Upper Palatinate, criminals caused excitement last weekend. On a Saturday morning, August 31, a 74-year-old vacationer from Offenburg found that his two high-quality pedelecs had been stolen. The bicycles, which together had a value of almost 5000 euros, were properly attached to a bike rack in his car and secured with a lock.

The police estimate that the theft took place between August 30th at 8 p.m. and August 31 at 7 a.m. Fortunately, the two pedelecs were later discovered by a resident near the crime scene on the day and immediately brought back to the owner. This unexpected reappearance of the bikes ensured a little ray of hope in an otherwise unfortunate situation.

additional thefts in the neighborhood

The estimated amount of damage for the stolen mountain bikes is around 2000 euros. Questions or information about the incidents can be addressed to the Tirschenreuth police inspection, which can be reached on 09631/7011-0. Such incidents not only take care of personal possessions, but also lead a light on the general security in the region.

In a time when many people in rural areas use cycling as a leisure activity or environmentally friendly means of transportation, it is questionable that the thieves strike here too. It is a reminder to all cyclists, especially eight -grade on their bicycles, especially if they park them in public places or store them in garages.
