Rottweiler Bahnhof: Mann suffers heavy electric shock after brave climbing campaign
A disturbing incident occurred on Saturday evening at the train station in Rottweil when a man was seriously injured by a risky action. At around 10:45 p.m. he climbed onto a parked train and suffered an electric shock, which required an immediate reaction of emergency services.
The federal police make it clear that despite all the precautionary measures, the man was very endangered. In a message from the Federal Police Inspection Offenburg it is emphasized that the circumstances of this "life -threatening action" still have to be examined. Details about the motivation of the man to climb the train are not yet known.
warning of dangers on rail systems
The dangers that come from rail systems are often underestimated. The federal police urgently warns against behaving carelessly in such areas. A distance of 1.50 meters for the overhead line may be sufficient to suffer an electric shock, since the current can even jump to the human body through an arc. This immediately drew attention to the rescue workers to the high risk.
The man immediately received a first -time care of emergency medical care and was taken to a hospital a little later, where he will continue to be treated. The severity of the injuries raises questions, not only with regard to the health consequences, but also about the safe behaviors near platforms and trains.
Another important point that the federal police emphasize is the danger of electricity in the overhead lines. While the electricity from an ordinary socket in most households has a voltage of 230 volts, the voltage of the overhead lines is 15,000 volts - 65 times more. This dramatic difference illustrates how quickly accidents can happen and it shows how dangerous it is to enter rail infrastructures or behave improperly.
The investigation by the Federal Police Inspection Offenburg continues to collect more information about the incident and to avoid similar events in the future. In the meantime, it is recommended to keep distance from rail systems and to be aware that such dangers can not only be real, but also potentially fatal.
