Line RE 18 of the Northwest Railway: Buses instead of trains between Oldenburg and Sandkrug from July 9th to 11th
unexpected construction work require adaptations in train traffic
The sudden construction work along the route of the Northwest Railway RE 18 between Oldenburg and Sandkrug led to a temporary change in transportation. From Tuesday, July 9th to Thursday, July 11th, the usual train connections are replaced by buses to ensure smooth travel.
There are a total of four train connections in which passengers have to switch to buses. The nightly connection from Sandkrug to Oldenburg and the morning route from Oldenburg to Sandkrug are particularly affected. It is important to take into account the changed travel times when planning the travel to avoid inconvenience.
It should be pointed out that the take away bicycles in the replacement buses is unfortunately not possible. Therefore, alternative means of transport should be considered to ensure mobility during this construction work.
Since the changes have been announced at short notice, not all information can be called up digitally immediately. The replacement timetable is expected to be available on the homepage of the Nordwestbahn from July 9th. Travelers are asked to search for updates regularly to optimally plan their trip.
The unexpected construction work may lead to inconvenience, but they ultimately serve to maintain and improve the rail infrastructure. The cooperation of passengers by adjusting to the temporary changes helps to carry out the construction work as smoothly as possible.
