Oldenburg marathon inspires fans: a day full of emotions and cheering!
The Oldenburg Marathon attracted numerous runners and supporters on Sunday, but was accompanied by disappointing few spectators. During the event that was visited by the Plate and other cheering family, the lack of spectators on the route was felt. "I thought that at least every five meters would stand to cheer on the runners," complained a spectator. Despite the small number of spectators, some participants were motivated, like the half marathon runner Berthold Janssen, whose family cheered him on: "The focus is on fun."
The event went smoothly overall, and the helpers were in a good mood. "There are only a few drivers here who don't get ahead," remarked a route that praised the calm atmosphere. Over 450 helpers, supported by the police and paramedics, ensured a successful process. Erik Rosenhöfel from the Oldenburg Marathon Association came to a positive conclusion: "So far everything has worked out well, people are satisfied." Despite the shy viewer resonance, the event spirit was unbroken. Further information is at www.nwzonline.de Available.
