Oldenburg Marathon: Over 6000 runners celebrate a terrific festival!

Oldenburg, Deutschland - More than 6,000 runners experienced an unforgettable sports festival at the Oldenburg Marathon on Sunday. In optimal conditions with mild 12 degrees and sunshine, enthusiastic participants and spectators came to the city center. The Dutchman Millian Oostenbrink triumphed after two previous attempts with a time record of 2:46:22 hours. "I really wanted to win and now it worked," cheered the winner.

Dennis Osterfeld from Oldenburg followed him in second place with a personal best of 2:48:00 hours. "A great event, thanks to the organizers," said the local hero. In Frauenfeld, Sabine Geyer from Hamburg won in 3:12:38 hours and praised the varied route despite tricky passages. The field of participants was also strong in the other disciplines: Lisa Huwatschek and Linus Vennemann led in the half marathon, while Gabriel Monien won the five-kilometer run.
