Optimization of the agricultural industry: DLG entrepreneurial days in Oldenburg

The agricultural industry will be the focus next week in Oldenburg if the DLG (German Agricultural Society) organizes its entrepreneurial days on September 10 and 11, 2024. Around 450 specialists from agriculture are expected to discuss the challenges of bureaucracy in the agricultural economy. This first big event after the harvest wants to show solutions and approaches to reduce bureaucratic hurdles.

The conference takes place in the Weser-Ems-Hallen at Europaplatz 12 in Oldenburg and offers interested participants the opportunity to register free of charge at www.dlg.org/unternehmertage . As part of the event, experts from science and advice together with practicing farmers will discuss how to better master the bureaucratic jungle. In particular, it should be discussed how specific ways can be found through the large number of regulations.

process and topics of the event

A central concern of the event is the practice of data processing. There are many obligations in agriculture that often lead to double data recording. This not only affects the requirements of the federal, state and the EU, but also affects trade, which leads to an inefficient and time -consuming process. These circumstances limit the competitiveness of farmers and do not contribute to added value for animals or the environment.

In addition to the lectures, practical solutions are presented in entrepreneur pitches how farms can deal with the bureaucratic challenges better. The subsequent specialist forums offer a platform for short keynote lectures and intensive discussions on specific topics such as:

  • Documentation jungle fertilization: necessary evil or pure waste of time?
  • stable of the future - modern. Attractive. Efficient?
  • The English model- experiences of EU dropouts with environmental and nature conservation services (in English)
  • Digital from A (Refraction) to Z (relief) - How can digitization reduce bureaucracy?

The start of the entrepreneurial days is supplemented by the "DLG entrepreneur meeting" for all participants on September 10 from 6.30 p.m. in the EWE Arena, where the DLG Young Talents Award is also awarded. For this event there are still a few remaining tickets available for a price of 36 euros.

The DLG entrepreneurial days not only promise interesting insights into the current situation of the agricultural economy, but also decisive solutions for more efficient use of bureaucracy in agriculture.
