Rittmeier emphasizes that Postbank has one of the most densest networks for supplying cash in Germany and would like to expand it in the future. In addition, it remains unclear how the mailboxes in the building continue because they do not belong to Postbank. The closure is part of a trend in which customers are increasingly opting for digital solutions, while direct customer traffic is declining.
