Four vehicles collide in Edewecht: injured and chaos on the street!
On October 11, 2024 at 1:50 p.m., a dramatic rear -end collision with four vehicles occurred on Westershepser Straße in Edewecht! The driver of a white van reacted too late to the waiting car in front of him and crashed into his rear unchecked. The force of the impact hurled the first vehicle to a third, which then rose on a fourth car.
The situation quickly became serious when several ambulances and an emergency vehicle came, because the number of injuries was long unclear. Fortunately, a 26-year-old woman from Westerstede only suffered minor injuries and had to go to the hospital. But the damage was enormous: three of the vehicles were so badly damaged that they were no longer ready to drive and had to be towed. Westerschepser Straße was temporarily closed to traffic.
