New radio lenest city studio in the GYMSL: An era begins
New concept for "Radio Lennestadt" - an enrichment for the students and the community
In Lennestadt there is an exciting news for radiol lovers and the community as a whole. "Radio Lennestadt", a popular broadcast station, recently completed its move and is now located in new, modern premises. The connection between the high school of the city of Lennestadt and the St. Josefs Hospital to Altenhundem has now become even stronger, since the programs are now being transmitted to the hospital using a directional radio antenna.
The story of "Radio Lennestadt" goes back until August 1990 when the first literature course under the direction of Jonny Boehm and Helmut Becker was launched. It started modestly with a first broadcast on November 17, 1990 from a provisional studio in the hospital. In 1991 the modern "Radio Lennestadt-Studio" was inaugurated in the hospital, which was equipped with new studio technology in 2003.
under the direction of Jonny Boehm, the station continued to progress until he retired in 2018 and handed over the management to his colleague Oliver Achenbach. After the hospital decided to use the previous room elsewhere, the search for new premises began. Fortunately, the “art temple” of the high school offered two suitable rooms that now serve as a new studio.
The new studio was recently officially inaugurated, and representatives of the city of Lennestadt, the hospital, the technology department, the Sparkasse Alk and headmaster and pupils were present for the celebration. The headmistress Birgitta Pieters praised the commitment of Oliver Achenbach and his students, who worked on the new studio with great commitment. It was touching how important the students take this work and how strongly they identify with the studio.
Finally, a podcast with selected guests was recorded to celebrate the inauguration of the new studio. The positive response and the joy of the new premises are noticeable and show how important "Radio Lennestadt" is for the community. The students and the citizens of Lennestadt can look forward to exciting radio programs from the new studios and enjoy the commitment and passion of those involved for this institution. "Radio Lennestadt" is ready to continue offering high -quality programs and enriching the community with music, information and entertainment.
