Rescue in sight: Willow from Romania is looking for a loving home in Olpe
Willow is looking for a new home for a difficult past
The mixed breed dog Willow had a hard start. Originally from Romania, she spent 1.5 years in a state shelter under extremely poor conditions. There she had to live together with around 1000 other dogs in a confined space without ever having the opportunity to get to know the world outside the shelter.
rescue and hope for Willow
Fortunately, Willow was recently saved by animal rights activists and is now in a foster home in Kirchhundem. The animal rights activists describe them as initially skeptical of people, but now she enjoys the attention and pats that are given to her. Since June 29th, the bitch is being sought eagerly for a final home.Nadine Berndt, managing director of the animal shelter in Olpe, reports of the cruel conditions in Romanian animal shelters, which differ greatly from those in Germany. The sheer number of dogs in a confined space and the permanent noise left deep traces at Willow. But despite this difficult past, she makes great progress. She is curious, playful and gets along well with other dogs. Only to stay alone, she still has to work.
future for Willow
The animal rights activists are confident that Willow will soon find a loving home. Interested parties who want to enable the mixed breed dog to make a new life are asked to contact the shelter by email at info@tierheim-olpe.de. Every form of support is crucial to enable Willow a happy future and to leave the terrible past behind.
