Start of construction of the 380 kV east coastal line: steps to the energy transition!
The construction of 16 high -voltage masts in the Ostholstein district has started. This was announced by the transmission system operator Tennet. The masts are part of the new 380-kilovolt east coastal line, which plays a central role in the energy transition in Schleswig-Holstein.
The east coastal line aims to bring large amounts of wind power and photovoltaics to consumers. Construction takes place prematurely in order to avoid temporal overlaps with the construction of the rail connection to the Fehmarnbelt tunnel. The east coastal line will consist of three sections:
- The first section runs between Henstedt-Ulzburg and Lübeck.
- The second section lies in the Lübeck area.
- The third section extends between Lübeck and Göhl in the district of Ostholstein.
necessary network expansion in Schleswig-Holstein
Another goal is to increase the proportion of renewable energies to 65 percent by 2030. The participants of the conference approved the application. There was also an agreement on dealing with problem wolves to protect pasture animals. Clear guidelines for the killing of wolves protected by species protection were decided, while the countries committed themselves to fully financed investments in protection against wolf cracks.
