Thousands set a sign: democracy demos in Schleswig-Holstein!

Demonstrations for democracy and against right-wing extremism took place last Saturday, February 15, 2025 in Schleswig-Holstein. Mobilization took place a week before the upcoming Bundestag election.

in Eutin, in the district of Ostholstein, around 2,000 people took part in the demonstration, which was under the motto "Eutin is colorful". In the state capital of Kiel, around 1,200 people came to a demonstration as part of a nationwide queer action day, the police reported. In addition, numerous people marched from the market square to the lake promenade in Bad Segeberg.

Already on February 8, 2025, there were also impressive protests in Lübeck, in which around 4,000 people took part. These demonstrated under the motto "Now more so!" for democracy and against right -wing extremism. The event, which was peaceful and was supported by various political and social groups, set a clear signal against the AfD, which carried out a rally with around 100 participants on this day.

Several meetings took place in the city of Heide, followed by further protests in which around 400 people took part. Other cities, such as Kappeln with around 1,000 people and Neumünster with the working group "Democracy, if ...", organized rallies.

The latest protests in Schleswig-Holstein underline the growing commitment of the population against right-wing extremist tendencies in society.
