New head of population protection: Stephan Reckhaus takes responsibility
After the immediate resignation of Benedikt Schwanitz in September, the district administration of Paderborn quickly acted and re -occupied the management of the Office for Population Protection. Stephan Reckhaus, an experienced man in the area of population protection and district fire chief since the beginning of the year, now temporarily takes over the management. To ensure that important projects and topics will continue to be promoted, this quick decision has been made, as District Administrator Christoph Rüther announced.
Reckhaus, a 41-year-old fire brigade professional from Langenberg, brings extensive experience from his professional and voluntary commitment, including his training as an emergency paramedic and his master's degree in preventive fire protection. In his new role, he will promote decisive projects such as the establishment of the office and the development of a new control center and the implementation of the emergency service requirement plan. He is supported by Tobias Starke, who continues to hold the position of the deputy head of office. "I look forward to working with a strong team at the side," said Reckhaus optimistically.
