The preparations for the well -known Libori city festival in Paderborn are already in full swing. Spring has transformed the city into a workshop area on which the expectations for the upcoming event are already noticeable.

The anticipation among the Paderborners is growing steadily, while the final preparations for the Libori festival, which begins on Saturday, July 27th. In many places in the city, the screams of children and the laughter of the families are already in the air, although the construction of the attractions has just started. The members of the showman association are full of enthusiasm at work to offer visitors an unforgettable experience.

The precise schedule of the showmen

On Wednesday, July 24th, the actual countdown for the showmen starts after the weekly market ends. Detailed planning is crucial in order to bring the around 200 showmen involved in an orderly and efficient manner to their locations. "It all starts on Tuesday evening on Tuesday evening, but from Wednesday at 8 a.m. the Liboriberg will be completely blocked so that the final structure can begin," explains Bethel Thelen, the first chairman of the Paderborn showman association.

This year there are again numerous attractions for the festival visitors. Particularly noteworthy is the respected ferris wheel, the individual parts of which have already been delivered and are to be assembled on Wednesday. In addition to the usual rides such as the MusikExpress and the car scooter, guests can also admire a new highlight, the "Fortress Tower" - an impressive free fall tower with a height of 80 meters.

The anticipation of the showmen

Despite the work and the challenges associated with the assembly and dismantling of the rides, the showmen are optimistic. "Based on the previous years, we saw that people always like to come to us to spend a good time," says David Lüdtke, the second chairman of the showman association. The festive atmosphere that Libori spreads also plays an important role in the number of visitors.

Libori is more than just a festival; It is an important cultural event in the region. "This combination of culture, fun fair and church is nowhere else. It is great to see how many people come to participate in this event," says Bethel Thelen and adds that the showmen hope for a continuation of the previous year's sales.
