Farewell to Heinrich Saur: Popular ex-mayor died!

Heinrich Saur, the once youngest mayor in the Pforzheim district, died at the age of 89. Saur, who served as mayor of Würm from 1960 to 1980, played a crucial role in the integration of his community to the city of Pforzheim in 1971. With over 87 percent approval of the voters, he brought about the merger that Würm made more than 3,000 inhabitants from a small community. On October 6th, the popular fellow citizen, who was known, died to successfully master the financial bottleneck of his community and to implement essential infrastructure projects such as a new drinking water supply.

The funeral service for the esteemed citizen will take place on October 21 at 2 p.m. in the cemetery in Würm. In an obituary, Mayor Peter Boch and mayor Florian Bähr emphasize Sours great personal commitment and expertise for his community. His merits are perceived as sustainable and he remains firmly anchored in the hearts of the citizens. The sources report more about this at bnn.de .
