Volunteering in football: Bernd and Katrin Matthiessen rays for Brekendorf!

The Schleswig-Holstein Football Association (SHFV) has launched a new initiative to honor volunteers in football. The “SHFV surprised” program is to be put into the spotlight in the background for the smooth process of clubs. Bernd Matthiessen, the groundsman of the Brekendorfer TSV, has now been honored for his tireless efforts. Together with his wife Katrin, he takes care of the maintenance of an extensive sports facility, which includes several soccer fields, beach volleyball courts and other facilities.

The Matthiessens ensure that the places are in excellent condition, which is repeatedly praised by other clubs. Your creative attention to detail shows, among other things, in self -made standing tables made of cable drums and a sandpit for the small football fans. The SHFV now recognizes Matthiessen's commitment, which it not only demonstrates with passion, but also with concrete improvement plans for the sports facility. A planned extension to the tool shed and a new sales booth on the training ground are just a few of the many changes that are in prospect thanks to their commitment.
