Police stop bicycle theft in Glinde: trio arrested and vehicle checked

An attentive resident on Berliner Strasse in Glinde was able to observe in early Sunday morning how three men tried to steal a bike from a car bike rack. Thanks to the quick actions of the witness and the Glinder police, the theft could be thwarted.

The perpetrators, at the age of 33, 36 and 42, were placed and controlled in the street “Am Witnessamt”. They had already invited the stolen men's bike to their own cars. The bike was successfully secured and returned to its rightful owner from Hesse.

The three men from Hamburg, Pinneberg and Bremerhaven were released after the personal provision. However, criminal proceedings because of the severe theft.

Thanks to the quick action of the police and the attentive witness, further bicycle theft could be thwarted in Glinde. This shows how important the vigilance of the citizens is in the prevention of crimes.
